Nut butters are an excellent way to add a little something extra to your morning acai bowl – rich in heart healthy monounsaturated fat, a few spoonfuls will fuel you up for the day and carry you all the way through a busy morning. In this recipe, we recommend using your favorite natural, unsalted almond butter.
Acai Bowl
1/2 banana
1 1/2 tsp. unsalted almond butter
1 tbsp. natural unsweetened cocoa powder
2 100g. Nativo Puro Acai Smoothie Packs
1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
Toppings
1/2 small sliced banana
1/4 cup granola
1/4 cup sliced strawberries or blueberries
2 tsp. unsweetened, shredded or flaked coconut
1 1/2 tsp. unsalted almond butter
Drizzle of raw honey to taste (optional)
To Prepare:
Add banana, 1 1/2 teaspoons of almond butter, cocoa powder, and frozen acai to blender. Depending on your blender, you may need to break your acai up into smaller pieces before blending to achieve best results. Slowly add almond milk and continue blending, checking intermittently, until all ingredients form a thick purée. Spoon into bowl, add toppings, and enjoy!
